My work combines dance, media and political discourse with intense physicality. It feeds on pop culture, mythology, fictional and historical sources and questions concepts of gender, species, technology and body. With the three-year concept funding of the city of Hamburg and in cooperation with Margarita Tsomou, we are working on a series of pieces for Kampnagel Hamburg under the title EXCESSIVE SHOWING which deal with monstrosity and its radical transformation potential from a queer-feminist and intersectional point of view. I studied classical ballet, contemporary dance, politics and philosophy in Ludwigshafen and Mannheim and received the MA of Choreography at ArtEZ Arnhem in 2014. I had the DanceWeb scholarship at the Vienna Impuls Dance Festival and the 8-month residency at K3 2012. In co-production with Kampnagel I created BARE BODIES 2017, BLUE MOON 2018, WITCHES 2019, REVENANTS 2020 and will create COSMICBODIES 2021/22. Since 2010 I'm part of the Artist Collective TREFFEN TOTAL. In 2019 I received the award of the dance: Promising Talent. I teach at the University of Hamburg, Hochschule Fresenius, CDSH and at the K3 Choreographic Center among others. Current research fields are added to my contemporary repertoire: emoting bodies, Accessibility with Audio Description as an artistic tool, processes of archiving dance & discourse under the title #WILD_ARCHIVE in cooperation with MARKK Hamburg.
